Apple added 11 new Apple TV screensavers and they all feature underwater scenes, like jellyfish, dolphins, whales, and more (via9to5Mac).
Apple TV Screensavers
To be fair, a Mac's screen goes blank for a reason. It's better for the environment than having it on all the time and it's also more secure than leaving all your documents open for the world to see.
They come in 1080p and 4K formats, and this brings the total of Apple TV screensavers to over 80. Here are the new arrivals:
- The Screen Saver Defaults class is a subclass of User Defaults and provides an interface to the standard user preferences storage system. In addition, the Screen Saver framework provides a number of functions commonly required by screen saver applications including producing random values and centering rectangles.
- Aerial is a macOS screensaver that lets you play Aerial videos from Apple's tvOS screensaver. This includes classic Aerial videos shot over various cities and locations (New York, San Francisco, China.), Earth videos from the ISS, and the new underwater videos introduced in tvOS 13.
- Alaskan Jellies (2)
- Tahiti Waves (2)
- California Dolphins
- California Kelp Forest
- Costa Rica Dolphins
- Cownose Rays
- Gray Reef Sharks
- Humpback Whale
- Red Sea Coral
